GSC

ISACC is a member of the Global Standards Collaboration (GSC) initiative that is comprised of the standards bodies listed below. Executives of these entities meet on a nominal 15-month interval to exchange information on major emerging areas of mutual interest and to discuss opportunities for a collaborative approach. This collaboration facilitates standards development to enable timely market deployment of new features and services. The GSC delegates also update each other on their accomplishments, current programs, and priorities specific to their regional needs.

The conference is comprised of three major topic areas, the Global Telecommunications Standards Collaboration (GTSC), the Global Radio Standards Collaboration (GRSC) meetings, and a joint meeting where standards related to both areas are discussed. Working groups meet to discuss topics in Electronic Working Methods, Intellectual Property, and End User issues. Other working groups are initiated as required.

The Participating Standards Organizations, or PSOs, that comprise the membership of the GSC are as follows:

ARIB   Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (Japan)
ATIS   Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (USA)
CCSA   China Communications Standards Association
ETSI   European Telecommunications Standards Institute
ISACC   Information and Communications Technology Standards Advisory Council of Canada
ITU   International Telecommunication Union
